Gaming Breaks It Down

What Do Online Games Do To You Computer? Okay, We are not talking about Cp or Tootsville. But those Sites that have advertisements like Mini Clip and other Games. Let's Face it , Okay these sites can give your computers virus. Not the actual site. But the advertisements. Plus, sometimes you can upload your own games on these sites and BINGO! Those kids or Creepy adults but spy ware on it. Now, some of you are probably wondering: MY COMPUTER IS PROTECTED!
Spy Ware is a virus but is usually not detected by Norton and All those security programs. To detect it you need to scan every single file on your computer. A Pain Right?
How I know about these sites:
My Dad is an expert on computers: He goes Fixing everyone's crashed computers, They are usually crashed because of Facebook, Msn, or these online games
Also it can make your internet slower. If you have wireless and have two people on the internet at a time, One of these people is playing a game on one of these sites, the internet connection will be slower.

The Legend Of The Candy

We told you more Christmas stuff would be coming! Anyway here's a story about: The Most treasured Christmas Treat YEP! The Candy Cane~

The LEGEND of the Candy Cane

A Candymaker in Indiana wanted to make a candy that would help us remember who Christmas is really about. So he made a Christmas Candy Cane. He incorporated several symbols for the birth, ministry, and death of Jesus Christ.

He began with a stick of pure white, hard candy. White to symbolize the virgin birth and sinless nature of Jesus. Hard candy to symbolize the solid rock, the foundation of the Church, and firmness of the promises of God.

The candymaker made the candy in the form of a "J" to represent the name of Jesus. It also represented the staff of the "Good Shepherd".

The candymaker then included red stripes. He used three small stripes and a large red stripe to represent the suffering Christ endured at the end of his life.

The candy became known as a Candy Cane - a decoration seen at Christmas time. The meaning has faded, but still gives joy to children young and old, whom Jesus loves and treasures.

Zhu Zhu Pets Review

Article from: About the Hottest TOy this Season!

http://www.articlesbase.com/shopping-articles/the-hottest-christmas-toy-zhu-zhu-pets-review-1446922.html

Zhu Zhu Pets have taken the toy industry by storm and are consuming most of the spots on the list of the Top Ten Toys for Christmas. In this article, we will have a look at Zhu Zhu pets including what they are and why the heck they are so popular.

So, how popular are Zhu Zhu Pets? The chief executive officer of Toys R Us said that they may not include Zhu Zhu Pets in their catalogue due to overwhelming demand and he did not want to disappoint customers if they were unavailable. If Toys R Us may not be able to stock them, you know that Zhu Zhu Pets are considered the best toys for Christmas 2009!

Zhu Zhu Pets are made by a company called Cepia out of St. Louis, Missouri. The company, only recently founded in 2004 by Russel Hornsby, realized the potential of these little critters when they flew off the shelves after their initial release. The product line has been so popular that Cepia has had difficulty keeping up with demand. Thus, Zhu Zhu Pets are often hard to find and are sometimes priced higher due to demand.

What are Zhu Zhu Pets?

They are little Hamsters that come in five different characters: Patches, Chunk, PipSqueak, Mr. Squiggles, and Num Nums. These five different hamster characters can function on their own but they are much more fun when you purchase the accessories to create a hamster habitat.

A good way to begin the adventure is with the Funhouse Set with Hamster. This will get you started with 1 hamster, Patches, and a funhouse environment. The package includes a large kitchen and living room, a hallway, and bathroom areas. This is the beginning of your Hamster Habitat.

If your kids enjoy this initial set, then you will want to purchase the other Hamsters as well more accessories for the funhouse. This allows you to see the full "intelligence" of the hamsters as they play in their habitat and make interesting sounds and funny movements.

Zhu Zhu Pets are designed for ages 3 and up but are probably are not good gifts for teenagers as they appeal to those under 10 year old. My kids, ages 3 and 5, enjoyed all the add-on accessories to the Hamster habitat but probably enjoyed the Hamster Wheel and the Add on Garage the most. With the Hamster wheel, you get to see the little robotic hamsters make the wheel spin and then slide down the ramp afterward. And with the Add on Garage, you get a sedan car and garage allowing the hamster to cruise around your house.

The enormous popularity of the Zhu Zhu Pets is a testament to how much the kids enjoy this toy. Kids love little snuggly pets as well as moving objects. Zhu Zhu Pets combine these two elements to make for the most popular toy this Christmas.

Set On Skittles

Here are some Clues on what this article is about:
You Can taste the "rainbow" If you still don't have it figured out: It's Skittles.
Most people who love Skittles are usually Candy Lovers: It doesn't take a rocket Scientist to figure that out.
We Found a blog that has some Info on Skittles:

Skittles

imageSkittles are insanely tasty little morsels. Rather like little bits of Starburst covered in a candy shell. Skittles were first introduced in 1974 in the UK and parts of Europe. They spread to the States as an import for a while and then in 1981 Mars began making them in the States.

Obsessive folks (perhaps I’m one of them and speaking from experience) like to divide up the colors and eat them. I usually eat mine in pairs of same flavors, but when it comes down to the end of the pack, there are certain acceptable combos (all the citruses can be paired and grape and strawberry can go together ... strawberry and lemon are also acceptable but never ever put orange and grape together).

Original Fruit Skittles

  • Lime (Green) - classic lime, leaning more towards the tart side than the floor-wax side of things.
  • Grape (Purple) - a pretty well rounded fake grape flavor
  • Lemon (Yellow) - good and sour with some hints of zest
  • Orange (Orange) - juicy and flavorful
  • Strawberry (Red) - one of the few red candies I like, it smells like cotton candy and has a tangy, creamy berry taste

    Harry Potter

Today I, Teko, have a P.D. Day!( No School). So, I'm going to write a review on each of the movies in the current poll. Now, since there was already one done on Twighlight, I'll start with Harry Potter.
Harry Potter started out in books by J.K. Rowling. Now it has been turned into movies. This is a clip from the first one, The Philosopher's Stone, credit to Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtQSrysNZyw

The Harry Potter movies are really good, but in my opinion, the books are way better. The basic summary for #1 is that Harry finds out he is a wizard and goes to Hogwarts: School of Wizardry. He makes friends along the way. He finds out how his parents really died and faces the evil wizard, Voldemort.
In the movie, Daniel Radcliffe plays the part of Harry; Emma Watson plays Hermione, Rupert Grint plays Ron. In that movie Ron's sister Ginny is barely shown, but in other movies she is one of the main characters. Bonnie right plays her.
My favourite character is probably Remus Lupin, the werwolf from number 3, or Hermione Granger in the latter movies. My favourite movie is probably #1 or #5.

    Water on the Moon

Water was discovered on the moon. Look at this article for further information.

NASA has announced that it found a "significant amount" of water on the moon as a result of the LCROSS impact last month.

Anthony Colaprete, a scientist on the project, estimated there were about 100 litres of water in the crater where the LCROSS spacecraft hit the moon on Oct. 9.

Colaprete presented some of NASA's data from the spacecraft's instruments, including spectrometer readings that strongly suggest the presence of water.

"Indeed, yes, we found water," Colaprete said at a news conference Friday. "There's not just water, but lots of water."

NASA scientists said the lunar crater they hit was actually wetter than some of the driest deserts on Earth.

NASA's discovery is the result of intentionally crashing the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite into the moon and analyzing the explosion and crater that resulted.

There were actually two impacts, the first coming when a rocket stage that had carried a lunar probe hit the crater Cabeus, near the moon's south pole, creating a small crater of its own.

The LCROSS satellite observed the impact, as did the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, the Hubble Space Telescope, three other Earth-orbiting satellites, and telescopes in the western U.S. and Hawaii.

Then, the satellite itself hit the moon. The two impacts created a crater between 20 and 30 metres across, and a plume between 10 and 12 kilometres across.

Colaprete said vapour from the explosion was detected as high as 20 kilometres above the moon's surface.

The impact didn't result in an explosion that was immediately visible, but NASA said it received a great deal of information from the experiment.

    'Not your father’s moon'

"We are ecstatic," Colaprete said in a NASA statement. "Multiple lines of evidence show water was present in both the high angle vapour plume and the ejecta curtain created by the LCROSS Centaur impact.

"The concentration and distribution of water and other substances requires further analysis, but it is safe to say Cabeus holds water."

Colaprete said he wasn't sure what the other substances might be, because the mission's focus was on finding water, but they could include carbon dioxide, methane, ethanol or methanol.

"All those are possibilities, but we really need to do the work to see what fits best," Colaprete said.

The researchers also saw sodium in the impact. All of these chemicals are seen in other bodies in space, such as comets, which could indicate the source of the moon's water.

The water on the moon could also come from solar wind or the Earth, or it could be that the water's always been there, NASA said.

Colaprete said some of these chemicals were found on moon rocks retrieved by Apollo astronauts, but their presence was explained away as contamination from the Earth. He said the possibility of contamination from the rocket stage or LCROSS itself has been ruled out.

The NASA researchers said water on the moon could be used by a future human settlement there, not just for drinking and bathing, but as a component for rocket fuel, if manned missions are ever launched from the moon.

"The moon still has many secrets," said Greg Delory, a senior fellow at the Space Sciences Laboratory for Integrative Planetary Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley.

Delory, who was not on the LCROSS team, said the mission's data "is painting a really surprising new picture of the moon. This is not your father’s moon. Rather than a dead and unchanging world, it could be a dynamic and interesting one.”

The new data from LCROSS appears to agree with a finding from India's Chandrayaan-1 lunar satellite, which in August found a chemical signature for water all over the moon's surface.
(This article is thanks to http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2009/11/13/tech-space-moon-water-lcross.html)

So, please vote in our current pole if you think people will someday be able to live on the moon.

    Is Being Gay Okay?

This is a Touchy Subject to work with. Lots of people will think that being Gay is okay just because their parent's friends are gay. I have found some verses from my bible which say some things about being gay, I also found a piece of writing by a Christian!
"Even the woman turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And The Men instead having normal sexual relations with women burned with lust for each other." ~Romans 1:26-27
There were Gay People in Paul's day too. But God Forbids such Behavior, saying it's not what he designed sex to be. His plan is for one woman and one man in a marriage for a lifetime. If you have Gay Desires, you can and must resist acting on them. Ask God- and a trusted Christian Counselor for help!
" Do not practice Homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin!"~Leviticus 18:22
"If a man practices homosexuality having sex with another man as with a woman both men have committed a detestable act, They must be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense!"~Leviticus 20:13
See, The Bible says Being Gay is wrong! That the punishment for it is Death!
The Bible says Its a wrong sin, even thinking it's okay is bad.
Its okay to be nice to gay people. The Bible also says to Love a Neighbor as yourself!
But, you shouldn't believe that its okay! Even if you parents have Gay Friends. And Tell you being Gay is okay! Who are you going to listen too? The Guy who made the world? Or Sinning Parents?
Also, the Human Bodies were made to make children, Not for us to have sex when we feel like it! Also, It's made for A Man and A Woman to make a child!
God Doesn't want us to be Gay! Thats the answer to the main question!
    This is Neko and Teko.
Expressing our Opinions! In The Bible times the punishment was Death for being Gay! It's that wrong so why should you be gay?

    What If a Family Member Get's H1N1?

Heres what Globe and Mail say about it!

Q: My three-year-old daughter got the flu two weeks ago. The doctor said it was H1N1 but it was not confirmed because the region doesn’t do routine testing. My husband and I did not get sick. How can this be? We took no special precautions. Now we’re wondering: Should we get the vaccine or are we immune to this flu?

A: You have raised several interesting issues related to H1N1 and vaccination. First, about 90 per cent of all the flu cases in Canada today are caused H1N1. There is very little seasonal flu so far. That’s why doctors assume that cases of the flu are H1N1. Testing everyone is not considered a good use of resources.

Second, there is a common assumption that everyone exposed to the H1N1 virus will get the flu. In fact, the large majority of people exposed to the virus will not get sick.

Even though you were in close contact with someone sick with swine flu, healthy young adults like yourselves have powerful immune systems that fight off a constant barrage of pathogens. When you are exposed to a virus, your body will produce antigens and develop immune resistance. In some people, this happens with very few disease symptoms; others will get quite sick. A vaccine does the same thing by tricking the body into thinking it is being exposed the virus.

Many people argue that there is no need to be vaccinated, that we should depend on our immune systems and bolster them with good nutrition. That is a bit of a gamble.

With H1N1, a new strain, it is anticipated that about one-third of the population will get sick. To date, it is estimated that about five per cent of Canadians have fallen ill with H1N1, so a lot more sick people are expected in the coming months.

While it is true that most cases of the flu are “self-limiting” – meaning you get better with rest and fluids, in rare instances people can get gravely ill and die. Again, the risk of complications is greatest in those with weaker immune systems – babies, children, people with chronic health conditions – but some healthy people will get severe illness.

So far in Canada, 1,779 people have been hospitalized with H1N1, including 351 who ended up in intensive care and required ventilators. There have been 92 confirmed deaths.

That is why public health officials recommend that everyone by vaccinated unless they had a laboratory-confirmed case of H1N1. That would include you and your daughter. Even if you have immunity to H1N1, the vaccine will do no harm.

    It's Cold Outside!

Wow! Winter is fast approaching. People appear outside clothed in many layers, while inside fireplaces are stirring. Here is a winter poem to warm you heart:

Late lies the wintry sun a-bed,
    A frosty, fiery sleepy-head;
Blinks but an hour or two; and then,
    A blood-red orange, sets again.
Before the stars have left the skies,

    At morning in the dark I rise;
And shivering in my nakedness, By the cold candle, bathe and dress.
    Close by the jolly fire I sit to warm my frozen bones a bit;

    Or with a reindeer-sled, explore
The colder countries round the door.
When to go out, my nurse doth wrap

    Me in my comforter and cap;
The cold wind burns my face, and blows
Its frosty pepper up my nose.
    Black are my steps on silver sod;

    Thick blows my frosty breath abroad;
And tree and house, and hill and lake,
Are frosted like a wedding cake.
We, Neko and teko like the frosted like a wedding cake part. And Now... we will share some snow- safety tips:
Winter is a great season for outdoor activities, such as sledding and skating. Cold weather, ice, and snow can be both fun and dangerous for children. The following tips will help parents and children enjoy winter activities safely.
    In general
Children shouldn’t play outside alone. Establish a buddy system with one or more friends and have them look out for one another. Children younger than 8 years of age should always be well supervised outside. Check every so often on older children who are playing outdoors for a long time.
Check often to see that your child is warm and dry. Younger children should take regular breaks and come inside for a warm drink.
Never send children outside in extreme weather conditions such as snowstorms.
Keep children indoors if the temperature falls below –25°C (-13°F) regardless of the wind chill or if the wind chill is –28°C (-15°F) or lower regardless of the temperature.
Help children choose play areas with a warm shelter nearby such as near home or a friend’s home.
    Apply
sunscreen to exposed skin, even when it’s cloudy.
    Clothing
If your child’s feet and hands are warm, what they are wearing is usually good. If your child is dressed too warm, she could sweat and feel colder when she stops playing.
Dress your child in layers of clothing that can be put on and taken off easily.
Wear a hat because a lot of body heat is lost through the head.
Keep ears covered at all times to prevent
    frostbite.
Wear mittens instead of gloves so that fingers can be bunched together for warmth.
Wear warm, waterproof boots that are roomy enough for an extra pair of socks and to wiggle toes around.
Remove drawstrings from clothing that could catch on climbing or other play equipment. Use velcro or other snaps instead.
Use a neck warmer instead of a scarf and mitten clips instead of a strings to prevent choking.
After play, remove wet clothing and boots immediately.
    Winter play
Active games, making snow angels and building snowmen will help to keep your child warm. Teach your children a few important rules to go along with winter play.
Stay away from snowplows and snow blowers. Choose play areas away from roads, fences and water.
Take extra caution when crossing roads because it might be hard for drivers to see children playing if they have snowy or frosty windows.
No snowball fights. They can cause an injury. Snowballs are most dangerous if the snow is hard-packed or icy.
Don’t build snow forts or make tunnels. They can collapse and suffocate a child.
Don’t play on roadside snow banks. The driver of a snowplow or other vehicle may not see a child.
Don’t put metal objects in your mouth. Lips and tongues can freeze to the metal and cause an injury.
Don’t eat snow, which can be dirty.
    Tobagganing/Sledding
Children under 5 should never go down a hill alone.
Always wear a ski or hockey helmet – not a bicycle helmet – while sledding. Bicycle helmets are only tested up to -10ºC (14ºF) and need to be replaced after one crash. If you use a hockey helmet, make sure it meets the
    Canadian Standards Association standards.
Never use a sled with sharp or jagged edges. Handholds should be secure.
Use a sled you can steer rather than a snow disk or inner tube. It will provide better control.
Always sit up or kneel on a sled. Lying down can increase the risk of injury to the head, spine and stomach.
Never sled on or near roadways. Look for shallow slopes that are free of trees, fences or any other obstacles.
    Avoid sledding on crowded slopes.
Sled during the day. If you sled at night, make sure the hill is well lit.
Slide down the middle of the hill and climb up along the sides. Remember to watch for other sledders and move quickly out of the way once at the bottom of the hill.
    Skating
Always wear a hockey or ski helmet while skating.
Skates should be comfortable, with good ankle support, to avoid twists, sprains or breaks.
Whenever possible, skate on public indoor or outdoor rinks. Teach your child to:
Obey all signs posted on or near the ice. Yellow signs usually mean skate with caution, and red usually means no skating allowed.
Always supervise children on the ice.
Never assume it’s safe to skate on a lake or pond. An adult should make sure the ice is at least 10 cm (4”) thick for skating alone or 20 cm (8”) for group skating. Check with local weather authorities for information about ice thickness.
Do not walk on ice near moving water. Ice formed on moving water, such as rivers and creeks, may not be thick enough to be safe.
    Skiing/snowboarding
With lessons from a certified instructor, it's okay for younger children to ski or snowboard. However, a child’s coordination is not fully developed until age 10 years.

Now, here are different types of hot chocolate to try with your parents permission:
    -Mint Hot chocolate
    - Regular
    -extra chocolaty
    -brown sugar hot cocoa
    -candy cane hot cocoa
    -and many more!
In comments on this post, write to us about your favourite hot chocolate!
